O Divine Goddess, Glorious in form and sound, Fierce to her enemies,
And benevolent to her devotees, I seek your blessings
O Divine Goddess, Worshipped and served by all celestial powers,
The alleviator of all sins, I seek your blessings
O Divine Goddess, With beautiful matted hair,
The dispeller of dark intentions, the giver of mental prowess, I seek your blessings
O Divine Goddess, Who is as fierce as she is nurturing,
The creator and the blesser of all creation, I surrender to you
O Divine Goddess, Who alleviates falsehood and foolishness
I pray, free me of my foolishness, I surrender to you
O Divine Goddess, Who is pleased by the sound of mantras,
And by offerings made with a pure heart I pray to your kindness and righteousness, I seek your blessings
O Divine Goddess, Grant me abundant intelligence, success and wisdom,
The creativity to write like poetry I pray, protect me from all foolishness I surrender to you
O Divine Compassionate Goddess, worshipped by Lord Indra and others,
You protect those who seek refuge, please protect me, I surrender to you.
